Nicola Pezolet's research projects focus on the interface between modern art and architecture, more specifically the “synthesis of the arts” debates in Western Europe and Latin America during the middle decades of the twentieth century. His work has been published in Thresholds (MIT Dept. of Architecture), Grey Room (MIT Press), and Res: Anthropology and Aesthetics (Harvard University Press) and October (MIT Press). His forthcoming book is Reconstruction and the Synthesis of the Arts in Postwar France, 1944-1962 (London: Routledge, 2017).
