Public Lecture Series

Spring 2009 Department of Architecture Lecture Series:

The New Craft of Architecture
Craft is as much about technology as about tradition.
While certain techniques and/or skills may fade away with the
advancement of technology, the idea of craft only evolves.
Today, craft of architecture is defined by both robotics and carpentry.

Lectures are free and open to the public. For some lectures, members of the MIT community with IDs will be admitted between 5:45-6:10pm and the general public will be admitted as space permits at 6:20pm.

Room 34-101 is located at 50 Vassar Street.
Rooms 7-338, 7-431, and 10-250 are located at
77 Massachusetts Avenue.

An interactive map may be found on-line at: http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg.
