We have tried to provide as complete a list as possible regarding basic building information including architect, construction date, address and what is known about the Guastavino Company's involvement. When available, we cite bibliographic references for an individual project.
Another source of bibliographic information us the Guastavino-Collins Archive at the Avery Library, which contains other salvaged company records collected by Professor George Collins. Many of the photos in this collection depict projects not listed on the factory order cards, proving them to be an incomplete source and more importantly opening the possibility that Guastavino buildings may exist without any documentation whatsoever (See the Barnes School in East Boston) .
We have further relied upon trade periodicals of the day like The Brickbuilder and the American Architect and Building News, as well as more esoteric sources like newspaper articles and amateur historical studies in brochures produced by building owners.
