This course is an introduction to artistic practice and critical visual thinking. Through a series of three studio-based projects students are lead through various stages of conceptual development while also learning about materials and techniques.

Explore with conceptual rigor the photographic process as a medium for artistic expression. Discussions, research, and production are grouped around a term specific topic. Special consideration is given to socio-political and psychological aspects as well as questions of context and space.
