The Computer Resources Office (CRO) offers many computing
facilities to Architecture students. Windows and Macintosh
workstations are available throughout the design studios and
other work spaces, along with Athena workstations. Software
packages include geometric modeling, rendering and animation,
web design, graphic, desktop publishing, and other widely-used
applications.
Peripherals available to Architecture students include wide-format
plotters, color and black and white laser printers, a variety
of scanners (wide-format, slide scanner), a slide film recorder,
CD and DVD burners, a laser cutter, among others.
Other CRO-supported facilities include the Electronic Classroom
in 3-413 and the Audio Visual Theater
(AVT), both of which are shared with the Department of Urban
Studies and Planning. The electronic classroom is equipped
with 12 PCs and an LCD projector. The AVT has video, DVD,
and computer projection facilities for classes and lectures.
Both rooms are open to student use when not booked for class
or other events.
