Required of:
BSA, Architecture Minor
Preference Given to:
Course 4 majors and minors

Architecture Design Foundations provides students with an elementary understanding of the foundations of architecture. Through a series of individual and group exercises students will learn fundamental principles of the architectural design process. With equal emphasis placed upon drawing, model-making and full-scale production, students will learn to think critically through a variety of architectural discursive tools. Formal, spatial and analytical ideas will exist concurrently and across a spectrum of scales. This studio provides students with foundational skills to succeed in subsequent architectural design studio courses.
