This class offers a basic introduction to video cameras and digital non-linear editing.

Students will interact with captured footage on Final Cut Pro and Media 100 editing systems, exploring and implementing ideas about identity, surveillance culture, narrative construction, montage, and various modes of representation. The class will begin with an introduction to the video camera, include the installation of video artwork, and conclude with the final production project.
