Dishita Turakhia

I am an architect, computational designer and researcher with Masters in Architecture (SMArchS - Design and Computation - MIT '17) and Computer Science (M.S. in EECS - MIT '17). I am currently a researcher in the HCI (Human Computer Interaction) Lab at CSAIL, MIT,  where I design systems that teach physical skills to novice learners.

My research interests include studying artificial intelligence in the context of design, neuroscience in architecture, and robotics for kinetic or interactive structures. In the past, I have studied, worked and researched in India, Switzerland, UK and Singapore. I have collaborated with eminent researchers, worked at top international practices and accrued several recognitions and awards. I continue to pursue my academic goals through teaching and leading workshops. While I am an architect and researcher by profession, I consider myself forever a student by nature.

Culture, technology and people are my favorite subjects and I aspire to connect them through my work in design, technology and photography. I love collaborating with creative and driven minds for various interdisciplinary projects. When I am not researching or working, I love to explore and experience new cultures through travel.
