Jaya Eyzaguirre

Jaya Alba Eyzaguirre is a student in the Masters in Architecture program at MIT. She graduated with honors from Oberlin College in 2014 with a double major in Anthropology and Economics. A dual citizen of Chile and the US, Jaya was raised and educated in Rome, Italy. She resided and worked for shorter periods in Burkina Faso, and Chile. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and French. Following her graduation from Oberlin, she worked in Chile on tactical urbanism and design with Fundacion Ciudad Emergente (CEM), while studying at the School of Architecture of Universidad Catolica de Chile prior to enrolling at MIT. Her interests in architecture include economic development, resource management, historical preservation, biocultural diversity in agrarian and urban landscapes, participatory planning and social inclusion.
