Rodrigo Escandon Cesarman

Rodrigo Escandón Cesarman obtained an M.A. in Economics at CIDE with the thesis The Impact Of Commercial Sidewalk Use On Real Estate Prices In Mexico City (2017). Previously, he completed a B.A. in Architecture at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City (2011) and participated in the XVIII Taller Internacional de Arquitectura: Arquitecturas para un recinto amurallado, organized by Universidad de Los Andes in Cartagena de Indias (2010). In 2012, he became a principal partner at the architecture office APRDELESP: a practice-as-research on space and its appropriation processes.

Through APRDELESP, he has collaborated in more than fifty architectural projects of different typologies and scales, of which more than thirty have been built. Last year, they participated in the Chicago Architecture Biennial 2017: Make New History and were selected as finalists for the 3rd Open Call for the Architectural Intervention for the Feria de las Culturas Amigas in Mexico City. Previously, they won the competition to design the annual pavilion at the Museo Experimental El Eco, were selected as one of the Seven Innovative Design Studios to Watch by Metropolis Magazine, were part of the digital archive for the Mexican Pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia - 15th International Architecture Exhibition, REPORTING FROM THE FRONT, made the museography for the Archivo / Italy exhibition in ARCHIVO Diseño y Arquitectura (2015), and participated in the Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture in Shenzhen (2013).
