Benjamin Hoyle

Ben Hoyle is an MArch candidate who will graduate in June, 2021. He served as co-president of the Architecture Student Council and co-founded the MIT Architecture community radio station, WAWD?RADIO. His recent projects have focused on housing and computation.

Ben's thesis project, which he is developing in collaboration with Eytan Levi, focuses on the legacy of Soviet mass housing. Building on research they started in the spring of 2019, their project will consist of design proposals for the renovation of standardized buildings on five sites across the former USSR. With this work they hope to develop viable solutions while establishing a position as designers on one of the most significant housing problems of the coming years.

Ben holds French and American citizenship and received his bachelors degree in Mathematics from Williams College.
