Preparation for SMArchS Thesis

Required of: 
SMArchS students

Note: The computation section, D02, has a new room: 3-329

Urbanism students: Register for section D01
Computation students: Register for section D02
Architecture Design students: Register for section D03

Students select thesis topic, define method of approach, and prepare thesis proposal for SMArchS degree. Faculty supervision on an individual or group basis. Intended for SMArchS program students prior to registration for 4.ThG.

There are separate classes scheduled for

  • Urbanism with Professor Michael Dennis
  • Computation with Professors Knight and Nagakura
  • Architecture Design with Professor Goulthorpe

All other SMArchS students work with their advisors independently but still register for 4.288 the term prior to thesis.
