The New Global Planning Practitioner — An Introduction to Practice in the Developing World

Prerequisites: 
Permission of instructor

First meeting: Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, 3:30-5 pm

Basic exploration of the key issues that practitioners must dominate for efficacious practice.  Targets those who consider field practic, primarily in housing and planning.   Includes general context and informal sector who provide the bulk of housing, working with NGOs, governments and international development agencies, key design challenges ranging from communal water, toilets, core housing, and critical land issues of tenure and layout, and working with communities in non-traditional practice.  Investigation of shifts in practice, and meeting new challenges of today.  A goal is to combine the material into a ‘Primer for Practitioners’.
