Hourly Student Jobs

From Occupation to Occupancy

Graduate Student research and design thinkers are invited to apply for positions during Summer term 2026, to begin with orientation meeting(s) in May, preparing a major installation for the Met Warehouse opening exhibition. With Prof. Mark Jarzombek and Office of (Un)certainty Research, From Occupation to Occupancy will present a graphic analysis of the many occupations that were necessary for the construction of the MET warehouse project. We will need to interpret documents given to us by the contractor in order to get a clearer understanding of the various occupations and their timing on the project. This analysis will become data for a large-scale graphic that will display the results. Students should be interested in - and roughly knowledgeable about - construction related activities.

4 positions available for hire at 40 hours/week from May 15-June 26

Interested applicants should reach out directly to htc@mit.edu and mmj4@mit.edu  before Friday May 8
