Associate Professor Rania Ghosn recipient of Frank E. Perkins Award for Excellence in Graduate Advising

Rania Ghosn, Associate Professor of architecture and urbanism and the Director of SMArchS Urbanism has been awarded the Frank E. Perkins Award for Excellence in Graduate Advising. 

It is awarded by MIT's Graduate Student Council. This award, named in honor of Frank E. Perkins, Dean of the Graduate School from 1983-1995, is presented to one faculty member from each school (Architecture and Planning, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering, Sloan School of Management, Science, and Health Sciences and Technology) who, as a graduate student advisor, demonstrates unbounded compassion and dedication towards students.

For the 2025-2026 school year, Professor Ghosn taught the following courses: 4.228 Contemporary Urbanism Proseminar, 4.227 Landscapes of Energy, 4.s22 Geo—Design, 4.189 MArch Thesis Preparation.
