Stella Wu

Stella (Yuxin) Wu is a SMArchS student in the History, Theory, and Criticism of Architecture and Art (HTC) program at MIT. Her research focuses on artistic and intercultural encounters at transnational levels, particularly Sino-European interactions during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. She also takes interest in Hong Kong art and the histories of its art institutions.

Before joining MIT, Stella earned a BA with First Class Honors in Art History and Finance from the University of Hong Kong (2024). During her undergraduate studies, she served as the editor-in-chief for HKU Art History Student Journal (June 2024 Issue) and was a lead animator for an animation project showcased at HASS Fest 2024. She also gained practical experience at Asia Art Archive, HKU Library Preservation Centre, and University Museum and Art Gallery in Hong Kong.
