Tianyang Sun
Tianyang Sun is an architectural designer currently based in Cambridge / Boston, MA, currently a SMarchS Urbanism candidate at MIT. He works with cities and buildings, fabrics and objects, drawings and images. Originally from Shenzhen, China, Tianyang pursued B.Arch at the Cooper Union in New York City, where he received the AIA Medal for Academic Excellence upon graduation. His professional experiences at MOS Architects and NADAAA have helped him continue the discursive latittude with focus on construction practices. He is currently applying to be a registered architect in the state of Massachussetts. He has built and wants to build independently.
In additional to serving on design studio and thesis reviews at Cooper, he co-taught a 4th-year urban design Studio on the Boston portion of the I-90 highway. He wants to continue teaching at and after MIT.
