Bo-Won Keum

Bo-Won Keum is an independent graphic designer, researcher, and educator of images, text, and publishing. She is the co-editor of Dear Books to Prisoners: Letters from the Incarcerated (2019) and currently serves as the design director of the Brooklyn Rail. Clients and collaborators include The Marshall Project and the Center for Urban Pedagogy. She also teaches and organizes the Triple Canopy Publication Intensive, an annual seminar devoted to independent publishing and cultural criticism. 

Bo-Won received a Maraham STEAM Fellowship in 2016 and was an artist-in-residence with the US National Parks in 2023 and 2024. She holds a BA in comparative literature from Princeton University and an MFA in graphic design from RISD.
