Qilmeg Doudatcz
Qilmeg Doudatcz (she her) is a computational designer and researcher working at the intersection of computer vision, 3D reconstruction, and immersive visualization. Her work focuses on spatial computing for cultural heritage, where she connects reality capture and neural reconstruction with interactive media to support digital preservation and spatial storytelling.
She is currently an SMArchS Computation student at MIT. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Southeast University in Nanjing, China.
Her thesis at Umich, developed in dialogue with Mongolian communities in Ordos, was recognized with the Burton L Kampner Thesis Memorial Award (2024) and nominated for the RIBA President’s Medals, Silver Medal category (2024). Across research and collaborative projects, she has built end to end workflows spanning LiDAR scanning, photogrammetry, XR environments, and digital fabrication.
