Liam Martin

Liam Martin is a designer, researcher, visualization specialist, and SMArchS candidate at MIT. Originally from Danville, Kentucky, he brings early experiences in rural landscapes to a narrative-driven design practice grounded in ecology and contextual sensitivity.

Liam holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University, where he was a Martin Tang Fellow and co-founded Superinfra, a design-research practice investigating infrastructure, phenomenology, and ecological restoration. He has collaborated with the Madrid-based RICA*studio on projects including a biophilic play-therapy garden for La Fe Hospital in Valencia, Spain, and has worked as an Associate at COOKFOX Architects, contributing to projects focused on nature, wellness, and urban integration.

Liam's work spans adaptive reuse, bioremediation strategies, and product and residential design, moving between speculative research and built work. Across scales and media, Liam explores design as a connective framework linking environmental systems, cultural narratives, and practices of long-term stewardship.
