Manavi Dixit

Architect | M.Arch

Manavi Dixit is a registered Architect from India. Her focus lies in the exploration and the derivation of architecture along with programmatic functionality through new age materials. She believes that materials act as the quintessential bridge that connects the social needs and the environmental challenges that are posed to our physical infrastructures and emerging densities.

Her involvement in the design, experimentation, durability and the climatological testing of The Silica Plastic Block (SPB), not only helped her realize the immense potential of this field, but also strengthened her conviction towards the interdisciplinary collaboration required to transform a conceptual idea into reality. The entire experience further fueled her curiosity and the urge to learn more about material development and its impact on architecture.

Climate change has become a defining force of the twenty-first century, yet its impacts remain profoundly uneven. While global narratives often frame the crisis as universal, vulnerability is shaped by histories of extraction and entrenched socio-political inequalities. Contemporary climate adaptations are highly engineered, capital-intensive, and technologically driven, which serve a privileged few. This raises a critical question: how does the global majority navigate escalating risk and uncertainty under climate change?
