Daniela Martínez Chapa

After graduating Magna Cum Laude and obtaining the Thesis Excellence Award at UDEM, Daniela co-founded TAL, an architecture studio in Mexico. During her studies in New Zealand, she became passionate about the natural and built environment, adopting a symbiotic approach. Furthermore, she has devoted herself to the pursuit of social justice through design and various non-profit organizations, serving as a director, volunteer, and consultant.

Currently enrolled in the SMArchS Urbanism program at MIT, Daniela focuses her studies on heat mitigation, accessibility, decarbonization of cities, ecological urbanism, landscape urbanism, and participatory design.
