Elshareef Kabbashi (Arabic: الشريف كباشي) is a Sudanese architect, researcher and multidisciplinary designer. He is driven by a passion for creating innovative and holistic designs that push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of architecture. His fascination for architecture centers around unlocking the potential of creative avenues through the utilization of emerging technologies and advanced algorithms. With a vision to establish a new balance between society, urban spaces, and the environment, Elshareef seeks to tackle contemporary global challenges through responsive and dynamic designs that better serve the needs of diverse communities. He strongly believes that architecture goes far beyond being a mere concept within a designer's thoughts; instead, it is about creating places that define identity, shape society, reflect culture, influence history, and inspire ideas.

Elshareef received his Bachelor of Science with honors in Architecture and Environmental Planning from Hadhramout University in Yemen. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Architecture (MArch) at MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning. Prior to joining MIT, Elshareef has contributed to a range of architectural projects and competitions spanning across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

Outside of his studies, Elshareef enjoys learning languages, playing chess, and cooking.
