Constantinos Gallis

MArch, MCP

Constantinos Gallis is an artist, musician and student from Athens, Greece, focused on merging his interest in sound and visual art with his exploration of built and natural environments.

In 2022 he created an album entitled ‘Third Places’ to map and compare the audiovisual environments of twelve points in Berlin, demonstrating a new way in which artists can produce work that is both informed by the environment, and informative to viewers and listeners. In 2023, he created ‘Atmospheres for Windhover’, a one-time live ambient performance of three thirty-minute sound pieces composed specifically for the Windhover Contemplative Center. This past May, alongside four collaborators, Constantinos created a video installation entitled 'Confluence', which was displayed on the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco for six days. The installation used movement and color to explore the relationship between humans and the natural world. He is currently working on ‘Weathered Resonances’, a series of soundscapes that reflect environmental degradation through the use of weathered instruments and sound objects.

Constantinos received a B.A. from Stanford University, and graduated with honors in Urban Studies. He will begin pursuing both an MArch and an MCP at MIT this Fall.
