Harris Chowdhary is preoccupied by manipulation, deception, and coercion. As an artist, writer and researcher, his practice is concerned with investigating the origins of these deceptions, their ultimate aims, and the mechanisms that allow them to reproduce. Through encounters with patterns in monumentality, collective obsession, memetics, histories of technological development, and political history, he works across media to investigate the tensions that hold us in our binds. He has studied in Dallas, TX, Cambridge, MA, and Lahore, PK, and participated in artists residencies and fellowships in Guayllabamba, Ecuador, Mexico City, Mexico, and Lucknow, India.
