Latifa Alkhayat

Post-Doctoral Fellow

Latifa Alkhayat is a Bahraini Architect and Researcher. Her work is an exploration of materials, construction techniques, and comfort systems, often with a focus on circularity. She received her Master of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Bath. She has experience in professional practice in Manama, Cambridge, and London. Recently, she co-curated and designed the National Pavilion of the Kingdom of Bahrain at La Biennale di Venezia 2023. She was awarded the AIA Certificate of Merit (2023), Marvin E. Goody Award (2022) and the Aga Khan Student Travel Grant (2022).
