Alissa Serfozo

Alissa Serfozo is a designer and a Master of Architecture candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has practiced architecture in New York and Hungary with Bernard Tschumi Architects and Puhl és Dajka Építész Iroda. Prior to MIT, Alissa was Managing Editor at a digital media startup. She is a Construction Management Intern at Shawmut Design & Construction, supporting MIT's adaptive reuse of the Metropolitan Warehouse, the institute's future center of interdisciplinary design, research, and education. Alissa is also a freelance editor and writer, advising clients across various styles and mediums, including editorial, exhibition, academic, and copywriting. Previous collaborations include Netflix, Converse, HBO Max, and the New York Review of Architecture.

Alissa's practice addresses the built environment as a dynamic space for connection. Her approach to design enhances existing conditions and constructs novel solutions within practical constraints. Her research explores the everyday applications of interactive technologies, and she is passionate about learning from material culture and contributing to public discourse. Alissa holds a bachelor of arts degree in Architecture and Urban Studies, summa cum laude, from Princeton University.
